The Rise of Brotox

And other cosmetic taboos…

We see a real mix within the clinic of clients who really do not want their partners and friends to know that they receive tweakments and then those who love the results and want their partner to feel rejuvenated with them.

As a medical practitioner, it is always important for us to make sure that our client is genuinely interested in the proposed treatments themselves, and it’s not their partners decision, this is why its so important to have a proper consultation to make sure they are comfortable to proceed with the treatment themselves.

Everyone has a personal opinion and of course their right to privacy, but with the aesthetics industry ever growing, the subject has seen a far more open approach with many more celebrities and influencers of both sexes explaining what treatments they have.

Where to start?

By far the most popular is anti wrinkle injections, or ‘brotox’ as it has been known by. This is minimally invasive and unlike fillers, does not change the shape of the face, it is very subtle and simple helps freshen, brighten and keep the tell tale wrinkles at bay.

The taboo around cosmetic injectables is ever evolving, and it is becoming far more openly spoken about, not just amongst public figures, but between friends.

With many men taking more care over their grooming routines, working out and having a better skin care regime, the next step into cosmetic injectables has become a far smaller gap to bridge.

It is important to have a proper consultation with your practitioner to manage expectations, as for men, the treatment can quite often work slightly differently than for women, this is mostly due to the fact that men typically have stronger facial muscles than females, and so quite often a top up dose and slightly more regular upkeep is often required.

Its not just the wrinkles though

Many of our clients have got very comfortable with their anti wrinkle treatments and want to know more about what we can offer, fillers are definitely not as common yet, but there has been steady increase, eschpeially in men who are looking to define their jawline, or for a mid face rejuvenation to add a lift and restore lost volume.

Ageing and cosmetics don’t have to be such a taboo, and if you’re ready to take the next step and feel the best version of yourselves together, book in today and see what we can do for you!

Love,

Nina x
